The Iosco County Community Foundation is pleased to offer two types of competitive grants to nonprofit organizations serving Iosco County.
Community Improvement Grants are awarded from the Iosco County Community Needs Fund to non-profits that serve Iosco County. Grants are used to fund programs and projects that benefit this geographical area. Specific funding for programs benefiting health for youth under the age of 18 and senior citizens over the age of 65 is awarded from the Iosco County Tobacco Settlement Fund in conjuntion with Common Grants.
Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Grants are awarded to non-profits through the Iosco County YAC - a group of students from across the county working to better the lives of other youth in their communities. All parochial and public schools must apply for grants through YAC. Projects and programs must benefit the youth of Iosco County under the age of 18.
Please note the following policy:
On August 16, 2007, the ICCF Board of Directors adopted the following grant policy:
An organization may apply each year for a grant. However, no program may be funded for more than two (2) consecutive grant cycles or two (2) years, whichever is longer. The Community Foundation will not support the sustained funding of any program. Repeated applications and previously funded projects cannot be guaranteed additional funding after the first two years or grant cycles of funding.
