GRANT
DEADLINE:
JULY 1
OVERVIEW
The Women's Giving Circle (WGC) was established in late 2006 to create an endowed fund for supporting issues important to women in northeast Michigan. Women and men from a four-county service area (Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency and Presque Isle) and beyond join the WGC because they want to make a lasting difference for women in our communities. As the endowed fund grows, so does the annual amount awarded in grants...forever!
Community nonprofits (501(c)3 IRS designated organizations), churches, schools and government agencies interested in applying for a WGC grant must submit applications by July 1.
Members of the Women's Giving Circle (those who have donated a minimum of $10) can volunteer to serve on the WGC grant review committee. The committee reviews all the grant applications and makes recommendations to the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan's board of directors. All grant awards must be approved by the board of directors. Grant awardees are notified of their grant awards by late September.
