The Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan (CFNEM) Board of Trustees elected three new officers to lead the Foundation for one year, with their officer terms ending in March 2027. Anne Belanger (left) of Rogers City is the new President; Tracy D’Augustino of Harrisville is the new Vice President/Treasurer; and Barbara Mills of Posen is the new Secretary. Lois Marshall of Spruce is the outgoing President and will continue on the Executive Committee as Past President.
“It is a privilege to serve as President of the CFNEM Board of Trustees. Working alongside a dedicated board and staff has allowed me to engage with communities and organizations across our nine-county region, all united by a shared commitment to strengthening our communities,” says Belanger. “With diverse skillsets and life experiences, we collectively work together to address the needs of our communities and continue to build funding resources through our Legacy Society.”
Belanger is the Director of Programming at the Presque Isle District Library; multi-Emmy award-winning producer/owner of Bon Ami Filmworks, LLC; past president of Michigan Humanities and the Besser Museum of Northeast Michigan; appointed by Governor Snyder and Governor Whitmer to serve on the Michigan Arts an
d Culture Council; and current Chair of the U.S. 23 Sunrise Coast, a Michigan Byway. Belanger began her term on the CFNEM Board in March 2020.
The Board of Trustees also welcomed Sue Stender (right), of Alpena, to help lead the Foundation through board service. Stender began her first term of service in March 2025. In December, Andy Stone and Katie Young-Engstrom completed their third three-year terms on the Board, and in March, Youth Trustee Chelsie Bielas completed her two-year term.
