The Straits Area Community Foundation (SACF) is accepting applications for its 2017 competitive scholarship program.
Many of the scholarship opportunities available through SACF depend upon the high school from which a student is graduating, the college they plan to attend, or their planned field of study, including maritime studies, the medical field and the performing arts. Additionally, some scholarships are for students who have already graduated from high school, and also for those planning to attend a certificate program or trade school. To be eligible, students must complete the application by the April 1 deadline.
Scholarship applicants should visit the “Scholarships” section of the Community Foundation’s website at www.sacf.net where criteria and applications can be found.
Scholarships awarded during the 2017 competitive scholarship program are for the 2017-18 academic year, and are paid directly to the educational institution the student will be attending. The application deadline for all SACF scholarships is April 1, 2017.
