The Iosco County Community Foundation (ICCF) is accepting applications for its 2017 competitive scholarship program.
Many of the scholarship opportunities available through ICCF depend upon the high school from which a student is graduating, the college they plan to attend or their planned field of study. Additionally, some scholarships are for students who have already graduated from high school, and also for those planning to attend a certificate program or trade school. To be eligible, students must complete the application by the April 3 deadline.
One of the scholarships available is the Michael Wentworth Scholarship. This award provides a significant opportunity to Iosco County residents interested in pursuing the arts in the fields of visual arts (excluding graphic arts), architecture or art history. While this scholarship can be used for students attending college, it may also be used for those wanting to participate in a visual arts program, camp, apprenticeship or similar study program through an established nonprofit organization or accredited institution.
Scholarship applicants should visit the “Scholarships” section of the Community Foundation’s website at www.iccf-online.org where criteria and applications can be found.
Scholarships awarded during the 2017 competitive scholarship program are for the 2017-18 academic year, and are paid directly to the educational institution the student will be attending. The application deadline for all ICCF scholarships is April 3, 2017.
