NCMCF Grants
North Central Michigan Community Foundation (NCMCF) serves three counties: Crawford, Ogemaw, and Oscoda. NCMCF awards two different types of grants throughout the year:
Common Grants are awarded from the Community Needs Fund to non-profits that serve Crawford, Ogemaw, or Oscoda Counties. Grants are used to fund programs and projects that benefit this geographical area.
Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Grants are awarded to non-profits through the NCMCF YAC - a group of students from across the three-county area working to better the lives of other youth in their communities. All parochial and public schools must apply for grants through YAC. Projects and programs must benefit the youth of Crawford, Ogemaw, or Oscoda Counties under the age of 18.
Please note new grant changes:
On August 22, 2007, the NCMCF Board of Directors adopted a new grant policy. Among the changes is one that will affect our grantees and applicants:
An organization may apply each year for a grant. However, no program may be funded for more than two (2) consecutive grant cycles or two (2) years, whichever is longer. The Community Foundation will not support the sustained funding of any program. Repeated applications and previously funded projects cannot be guaranteed additional funding after the first two years or grant cycles of funding.
